The 3 Week Diet plan by nutritionist and weight-loss coach Brian Flatt, promises to give you “a foolproof science-based diet guaranteed to melt away 12 to 23 pounds of stubborn body fat in just 21 days.”
If you’re looking to get rid of unwanted fat or maybe your beer belly, you might be wondering whether or not this 3 Week Diet is for you and if it actually works.
I got the 3 Week Diet manuals over 6 weeks ago and reviewed the information to see how it worked and if someone could actually lose weight on this diet.
In this review article about the 3 Week Diet, you’ll find out if the diet is worth it or if you should try something else.
What The 3 Week Diet is All About
The 3 Week Diet contains 4 manuals:
- The Introduction – The science of the diet (why the methods work)
- The Diet Plan – What to eat on this diet and when to eat it
- The Exercise Plan – Simple exercises to maximize calorie burn
- Motivational Plan – How to stay on track so you reach your goal weight
The diet is a rapid weight loss diet designed to give you fast results as opposed to a lifestyle diet plan where the focus is more on maintaining a healthy weight and eating habits through diet and exercise.
This diet was designed to help you see results fast. So if you wanted to lose your beer belly, you can safely drop up to 23 pounds of unwanted fat in under a month.
You can then follow a lifestyle diet plan after you’re reached your goal weight and never gain the lost weight back since you’ll already know the keys to keeping it under control from this diet.
A protein rich, low carb diet paired with high intensity exercises is basically what defines the 3 Week Diet plan but it’s radically different to most diets of this nature.
Does the 3 Week Diet Plan Work?
Some of the advice given in the 3 Week Diet Plan may even go against what is commonly advised by nutritional experts.
I’ve checked all the methods mentioned against research and found that they did indeed hold up.
One example is the notion that you shouldn’t skip breakfast as it is the most important meal of the day. The 3 Week Diet however encourages you to skip breakfast and have your first meal of the day at around lunch time.
This actually works to help mobilize fat so that it can be used up for energy. The act of skipping breakfast combined with some other steps enables safe weight loss at a rapid pace.
The 3 Week Diet Plan wasn’t designed to be followed as a lifestyle choice. It was designed for rapid fat loss and once your goal is reached, you can go onto another diet where breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Does the 3 Week Diet work?
I haven’t tested it on myself but the science behind it is sound and going on a diet like this would definitely cause you to burn fat fast and drop the pounds in the advertised period.
What I Liked About The 3 Week Diet Plan
There are things that I liked about the 3 Week Diet plan and there are things that I didn’t really like.
I’ll start with the things that I liked about the plan.
Firstly, I liked that the diet was a bit different from other diet books that I’ve read. The author uses the introduction of the book to assure you that the diet was worth following, explaining in detail the science behind how the diet works.
I also liked that the plan would allow you to see results fast. Losing fat at a slow pace of the recommended 1lb per week can be discouraging for many which can cause dieters to give up easily. This is the reason why so many diets fail.
Imagine dropping 3 – 4 pounds in a week – you would know that the diet is working and continue to work towards your goal weight. Imagine losing your beer belly within the next month. You would have achieved your goal and you’d be happier for it.
Unlike some diet plans, you probably already have the foods on the 3 Week Diet in your kitchen and you just have to cut down on some that you’re already eating. It’s not about what you eat on the 3 Week Diet but rather about one universal rule of fat loss – creating a calorie deficit over a period of time.
I also liked the exercise plan which can be done without you having to get a gym membership. When paired with the diet plan, you can create an environment in your body where fat is being burned continuously which is how you are able to achieve quick fat loss.
In conclusion, I liked this diet overall for the way all the methods worked together to help dieters achieve their goals quickly and successfully.
What I Didn’t Like about the 3 Week Diet Plan
What I didn’t like about the 3 Week Diet plan has nothing much to do with the diet itself.
There’s the inclusion of some optional controversial methods but you don’t have to do these if you don’t want to. Aside from this, there’s nothing wrong with this diet plan.
My problem with the 3 Week Diet plan lies in the marketing. While the diet works, it seems as though Brian Flatt might not actually exist. The 3 Week Diet appears to be written under a pseudonym.
This is a move which might affect the credibility of the product but however they did it, they did manage to create a diet plan that is functional and scientifically sound.
Lose Your Beer Belly on the 3 Week Diet?
Will you lose your beer belly doing the 3 Week Diet?
Fortunately, when your body starts burning fat, visceral or belly fat is usually the first to go. On the 3 Week Diet, the fat loss is rapid and noticeable in a reasonable timing. You just have to follow the diet plan as it is laid out.
I would suggest reading through the plan first. The introduction manual helps you make sense of how the plan works to burn fat. The diet plan is simple and comes in 4 phases where you’re asked to follow a specific eating plan for the next 21 days. The exercise manual lays out specific exercises you must do while following the eating plan.
Combine them together and you will lose weight on the 3 Week Diet. The motivational manual at the end will help push you towards your goal weight.
I highly recommend the 3 Week Diet if you want to lose your beer belly and even go on to get 6 pack abs.
The 3 Week Diet plan is a high protein, low carb diet that encourages rapid weight loss. It was not designed to be a lifestyle plan but it does work to safely burn off as much as 21 lbs of fat in as little as 21 days.
The diet works and is highly recommended if you want to lose that stubborn belly fat.
